DeVolus Parker is a native of Caroline County, Virginia. There he was raised in a loving and God-fearing home by his parents. His father was instrumental in instilling the values and the principles of life, while his mother instilled Christian values, the principles of faith-filled living and the power of prayer. His mother’s prayer has always been, “Lord, keep and use my children.”  Pastor Parker’s life and ministry are a testament to a mother’s answered prayer. His mother united with Abundant Life Ministries during DeVolus’ early childhood, under the pastorate of Pastor Theodore L. Hughey. Pastor Hughey became his spiritual father and poured the Word of God into him. There he served diligently as a Sunday School Teacher and Chairman of the Finance Department.

In 1995, he married Leisha Cash, and to their union they are blessed with three wonderful children, Isaiah, Jonathan and Korryn. He is blessed to have each of them serving and sharing their gifts along with him in ministry.

In 2000, DeVolus stopped running, and heeded the call of ministry on his life. He began teaching and preaching the Word of God as a minister of the gospel. The honorable late Bishop Samuel L. Green Jr. ordained DeVolus as an Elder in The Church of God in Christ in 2007.

In 2012, Elder Parker again heeded the call of God on his life and founded Agape Family Life Ministries. It is there that his family and the Agape church family follow his lead as he endeavors to serve the community by displaying the Love of Christ through servitude. He is a certified facilitator of the Richmond Family Fatherhood Initiative, The Superintendent of The Sunday School Department for The Iconic Virginia Second Jurisdiction of The Church of God in Christ and an entrepreneur. Pastor Parker loves to serve the Lord and with all that his hands find to do, it is unto the Lord and an example of Love on Display.
